“Out-of-state Mormons
are not as weird
as in-state Mormons.”
“If you get married so young,
you’re just like
every
other
Mormon.”
“Having kids so early in life is
stupid.”
“You need to
live
life
before you settle down.”
“Live the
college
life!”
“Going to college is what
everyone
does.
It’s just conforming to society.”
“You need to date for at least
a year
before you even think about
marriage.”
“Women who stay at home are just
dependent
on
their
men
and waste their life away.”
“If you do this,
you’re just like
everybody
else.”
“If you live in one place your
whole life,
you will never understand
the world
for what it is.”
“Going on a two-week vacation isn’t really
experiencing
a different culture.”
“The Mormon culture is like a cult—
people should be individuals.”
“It’s wrong to encourage men to marry
right after
their missions.”
“They barely know each other and they’re married.
 I can just tell
they are
not
happy.”
“People who stay in-state for college aren’t
living the
college life.”
“You are not being
YOU
if you do this!”
 To you, ladies and gentlemen,
Live your own life and I’ll live mine.
Let me
be.

Way to not conform to the non-conformists. They’re just as much sheep as everybody else is. Whatever you do with your life, do it with soul and because it feels right –down deep where it really counts– and everything else will work out.
