Good morning, you guys.

It’s 9:34 and I’m sitting at a Starbucks downtown, waiting until 10 when I go to work. I’ve got a few things to do today before some fun neighbors come over for game night. Like I need to email my favorite professor and ask him to write me a letter of recommendation. And I gotta clean the house. And I’d like to either do the quiz for my international relations class or the homework for my linguistics class.
I sold my first shoe yesterday. It was to a guy who just moved from Maastricht, The Netherlands. When he said Maastricht, I nearly died. Huge smile. “Maastricht?! You were in Maastricht?! I used to go there on the weekends with my friends!”
“Are you serious? I thought you were asking where in Holland I lived because you did a study abroad in Amsterdam or something. Maastricht is tiny! I can’t believe you know the city!”
He started to talk to me in Dutch and I said in German, “I don’t speak any Dutch” and he answered in Dutch, “That’s okay, I don’t know any German.”
We were dying! And I got 10 extra bucks that hour. So fun!
Then I got close to selling shoes to two other guys and my co-workers were making fun of me. You guys. Today I WILL SELL SIX PAIRS OF SHOES. ANNE SELLS SIX PAIRS OF SHOES. ON JANUARY 31st ANNE SOLD SIX PAIRS OF SHOES.
Now everyone go pray for my well-being.
Ten more minutes. What else can I type on this phone to you?
I’m having a hard time, you guys. Are you? Is the inversion a killer? At least we’ve had sun, right? I feel like I’m asking for a blessing everyday because it’s so hard right now. My birthday is in a month… That’s something to look forward to. But I have to be happy today. Cause I gotta get my game face on and sell some shoes. What up, yo?! Anne is in da house.
K, seven minutes. I’ll head over to work now.
May we all survive this winter with cuddles, kisses, hot chocolate, and Sherlock.
